Girl in the Oudolf Field

Girl in the Oudolf Field
I met a fellow photographer in the garden of Hauser & Wirth in Somerset. She kindly agreed to have her picture taken. It's wonderful when this happens.

Nikon D40 with a Tamron 35mm f/1.8 lens. Field of view equivalent to a 50mm lens on a full frame camera. 400 ISO; aperture priority set at f/5. Shutter 1/320th.

TRIPOD MAN, Arlequin Photographie have particularly liked this photo

mais lui as-tu demandé quel appareil photo elle utilisait ? j' ai l' impression qu'elle utilisait un Minolta de l' ancienne génération argentique ( Dynax ). Boitier plastique mais excellente optique. ( j' en ai eu un...).

We did not have much conversation. It was a brief encounter because I did not wish to trespass on her good nature. The camera she is holding is one of the last generation of Canon EOS 35mm film instruments. You can see the strap lug is out of shape following a bump, but plainly it still functions because she was taking a photograph when I first saw her. So it is true; film still lives, even among young photographers.
