Being cynical and ex-local(ish) to the area, I could say that is something of a rarity - usually more like "super mud" with a very low tide.
The Limbo Connection club has replied to StoneRoad2013 clubWeston super Mare has one of the longest and naturally occuring beaches in the UK. Weston has the second highest tidal range in the world (15 meters).
The low tide mark in Weston Bay is about 1 mile (1.6 km) from the seafront. Although the beach itself is sandy, low tide uncovers areas of thick mud, hence the colloquial name, Weston-super-Mud.
