"The Sketchers" by Algernon Talmage
Copied from the original painting hanging in the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath. I thought it worthy of exhibition to a wider audience. Algernon Talmage RA (1871–1939) was a British Impressionist painter; "The Sketchers" dates from 1930. Talmage had a studio in St Ives called 'The Cabin' on Westcotts Quay. He famously said, "there is sunlight in the shadows."
