Florence Rooftops

Thank you very much. The view is from the rooftop terrace of the Hotel Hermitage. I made the photograph with a 35mm film camera and liked the print sufficiently to pin it to my kitchen noticeboard, where over many years it has assumed a kind of anonymity from over-familiarity. Feeling an urge to photograph something, but having to stay indoors, I made what was once called a 'selective enlargement' using a Canon EOS 40D and a Chinon 55mm f/1.4 lens from the M42 era, in combination with a Minolta close-up supplementary lens screwed into the filter mount. All happily sourced from eBay, which I have stopped visiting for fear of becoming bankrupt.
