The late John Eickhoff printed and cast letterpress type in a workshop in Redcliffe Street, Bristol, known as ‘The Acorn Press’, and then later at home until 2005, under the name ‘Acorntype’. John used Monotype casters and collected a large and impressive range of matrices.
