Four Standing Stones

Four Standing Stones
Avebury stone circle, Wiltshire.
Tightly framed for perspective effect with a Nikon TC-16A teleconverter between a Nikon D2Xs and a Nikon 75-150mm f/3.5 series E zoom lens at full stretch. Thus the field of view was about 360mm using full-frame as the yardstick.

Makes me feel very nostalgic for the Neolithic.

I met an Italian visitor at Avebury during 2012. She was unimpressed by the henge. She said, 'You walked a bit, and saw a pile of stones. You walked a bit more and there would be another pile of stones'.
