Royal Roost 10
Another small group graduates to its own album today!! :)
The music I listened to while putting this together was actually a modern group from Northern Nigeria: Etran de L'Air. Of course, multiple Jazz artists toured the world in the 20th Century and heard music from all over Africa. Then they brought what they learned back home. Had we not lost Parker so soon, perhaps he would have done so as well.
The text is Bill Miner's, from the back of Savoy's 1977 reissue LP of 1949's "Charlie Parker: Live At The Royal Roost."
Shown smaller than the original completed size of 3300 X 3525 pixels.
Have a great week, Friends. <3
