Paulilatino - Santa Cristina di Paulilatino
The archaeological area of Santa Cristina just south of Paulilatino covers about one hectar. It was a place of cultural activities over thousands of years, from Bronze Age to - today.
The nuraghe, built with rough-hewn stones, is probably the oldest. It is pretty intact and still 6m high. It is dated 1200-1500BC.
Inside the nuraghe. Just behind the entrance is a little niche, probably for an armed sentinel.
