Cahors - Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers

Dwayne Dopsie´s father was "Rockin' Dopsie", a leading Zydeco musician and accordion player for decades. Zydeco seems to be a family business, as two of Dwayne´s brothers run a band called "Rockin' Dopsie, Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters", while he performs great with the Zydeco
Hellraisers. They were a fantastic surprise for me - and gave the audience a great evening.

The washboard (aka "frottoir") is a percussion instrument, the is often used in zydeco music. Here the percussionist wears a "vest frottoir" over his shoulders.

Unfortunately they did run out of CDs in Cahors. The audience was so enthusiastic, that the stock was too small.
