Baillargues

Baillargues
Stayed in Baillargues and learned that not only Pamplona in Spain has a "Running of the Bulls". Baillargues has that too - and many other villages in the Languedoc. When the bulls run, the inner part of the village is secured by iron grills. When I took that photo, the gates were still open - and no bulls around.

Trudy Tuinstra, Dimas Sequeira, Ria V., Bergfex and 7 other people have particularly liked this photo

Which side of the fence you choose becomes quite relevant during those events! Belated HFF, Martin!

Fascinating. Why they choose the fence to be red if interesting. Isn't red what bulls see most? HFF

Many thanks to all!

Bulls are colour blind. So bulls do not react to the red colour, but to the fast movements with the cloth.
