Remembering, on Thursday 20 January 2011 here in Alaska, Friday 21 January in Japan.
Acrylic on acetate. This is painted back to front, you are looking through the acetate, so the foreground was laid down first and the gesso layer last, on top of everything else. Subsequently I have to wait for one layer to dry before painting on top of it.
I originally took a photo of this under artificial light. -but I couldn't quite bring the color balance back where it belonged. So! I just took the painting outside and re-photographed it under natural light. But! It's -40° outside right now so forgive me it it's just a little blurry, my camera may have been shaking a bit.
