CD 302 Hemingray Insulators in service use

CD 302 Hemingray Insulators in service use
Williams County, Ohio

A pole with four CD 302 Hemingray glass insulators still in service use in Ohio along highway 20. Last week I shot about 25 more poles with the CD 302s in service use and counted 108 still in use. Most say Ohio on the reverse embossed side along with a few Muncie Type. This is a very rare sight today to see large colored glass pin type power insulators in service use.

AstroElectric, , , SW Ohio Lines and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

This is a nice catch. Transformer looks like one of the "obround" styles made by Line Materials.

Great find and photo! Love those big Hemingray insulators. And that transformer is indeed a Line Material Co. obround can!

I wonder if those insulators may be original to these poles?
