What it says on the cover ...

Volcanoes and their eruptions have fascinated me since a very young age.
.
The first eruption I really remember noticing was Surtr, which began by forming a new island [Surtsey] in the years between 1963 and 1967.

As yet, I've not visited a geologically active volcano, despite my life-long interest, maybe after covid and when I've officially retired !
