The relative numbers have varied over the period shown, but these movements are continuing to rise ... as they are caused by a number of factors.
Note : All, except the UK, are around the Mediterranean Sea.

Note ; some in the UK seem to think we have a problem with refugees / asylum seekers & economic migrants.
Put yourselves in Italy's shoes [the green bands up there] !!! I would estimated that as about 30,000 compared to more than 150,000.
