MER[23] - MER Locomotive No.23 {3 of 4}
some partially dismantled veteran switchgear in one of the waggons on 23.
MER Locomotive No.23 was originally built in 1900 by the "Isle of Man Tramways & Electric Power Co.Ltd.", and subsequently rebuilt with waggon bodies. It was restored in 1983, named "Dr R.Preston Hendry" in 1993 but withdrawn in 1994 and stored, initially off-site [it was in Laxey Shed in August 2023].
It currently carries names plates on the cab roof, and is painted in the freight grey & green livery of the IoMT&EPCo.
