SoS[22] - this was the pond
Overgrown wetland / pond area - the latter is somewhat silted up ... also suffering from a relative lack of recent / winter rain.
I suspect that this coming Autumn we shall have to clean this out again, and re-establish both the pond & the wetland area, as part of the "wildwood" maintenance programme. I don't want to do it in winter, as it will be far too cold for 'plodging' in the mud ! There is also the risk of disturbing hibernating toads etc.
