ESP - Zamenhof 1904 on 15 Dec 2020
An image of Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof - my father had his framed copy on the wall, and on Zamenhof Tago (15th December) he would hang a little Esperanto flag from the corner. The small flag usually stood on the mantelpiece.
In later years the founder of Esperanto modified his forenames to Ludoviko Lazaro and his surname is often given the Esperanto spelling Zamenhofo

StoneRoad2013 club has replied to Jenny McIntyre clubEsperanto is spoken worldwide. In normal times there is an annual Congress, held around July / August, usually a full week of events, meetings and informal get-togethers. There can be 1,500 or more people attending as from as many as 120 different countries. [that is full participants ; often more people come for part of the time]
My late father went to every one of them between about 1983 and 2009.
