MFW - view of Lowca
There is a small inlet with the remains of a quay, just to the left of the two circular tanks on the right. The sloped area furthest to the left is the landscaped remains of a waste tip from a coal mine. Between that and the two tanks is the site of The Lowca Engineering Company - in the form of "Fletcher Jennings" they built almost 200 locomotives and other iron products between 1857 and 1912.
