This Barrel Jellyfish ( Rhizostoma pulmo ) was one of several gently swimming around the pontoons in Whitehaven Marina, perhaps as much as 18" across ? scale is very difficult !

I would say that these are "mostly harmless" as the sting is relatively weak on any one individual; but a multiple ... as in a swarm ... another matter altogether.
