Originally published in the U.S. by Arkham House (hardback) in 1944. This U.K. paperback edition (split by the publisher into two volumes) published by Panther (ISBN: 0586039643) is dated 1974. Cover art by Bruce Pennington. My very first CAS book, found it in the mid-eighties and it was battered even then - will always be a treasured possession though.
