Ted Airlines was set up by United in 2004 to compete in the low cost airline market.
At its peak it operated 57 A320s in a 156-seat all-economy configuration.
However, in June 2008 due to the economic downturn United announced that the Ted brand would be discontinued with the A320s being incorporated back into United's regular fleet.
