North British diesel hydraulic Type 2 No D6309 with a local freight at Truro, 3Jul67. Built in January 1960, it lasted just 11 years and was scrapped December 1971 at Swindon.

North British Loco Type 2/Class 22 No D6340 dumped out of use at Bristol Marsh Jn, on Sat31Jul71. The loco was cut up the following year at Swindon Works, after a service life of just 9 years.

Beyer-Peacock Hymek Type 3 diesel hydraulic D7036 pauses at Southampton with a service from Portsmouth Harbour to Bristol/Cardiff.
The loco had just less than 12 months to live, being withdrawn in June 1972, and cut up at Swindon in October of the same year.
