Over the May Day Bank Holiday 2011, the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway held a gala to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the saving of the line.
A number of visiting locos attended, including Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway 4-6-2 'Green Goddess', seen here paired up with resident loco 2-8-2 'River Mite', passing Muncaster Mill with a train for Dalegarth.

Making the long haul from Kent was RH&DR Pacific 'Northern Chief', passing Muncaster Mill doubled up with R&ER diesel 'Lady Wakefield'.
