Black Ops
There have been no scheduled A340 flights at Manchester for a good few years now, so it’s a rare and welcome sight when one turns up.
This rather smart looking specimen is Airbus A340-313X 9H-TQM, of HiFly Malta, moving out with a Thomas Cook callsign.
This particular machine was new in 1996 to Singapore Airlines as 9V-SJF, then to Khalifa Airways (Algeria) in 2002 as 7T-VKL, and Etihad Airways in 2004 as A6-EYC.
It moved to HiFly in 2009 and subsquently sub-leased out to various airlines as diverse as Air Greenland and the Royal Australian Air Force.
