Beacon Hill Woodhouse Leicestershire 27th October 2024
A view of Bradgate Park and Old John Tower taken from Beacon Hill, approx. 5km to the north.
On the hill to the right of Old John Tower is the Yeomanry War Memorial. Erected on consecrated ground, the obelisk was built in 1924 and is dedicated to the Leicestershire Yeomanry field regiments that fought and died in the Boer War and the First and Second World Wars.
