HFF Saltburn-by-the-Sea North Yorkshire 18th October 2024
The view from the top of the Saltburn Cliff Lift, the oldest operating water-balance cliff funicular railway in the UK with Saltburn pier, the beach and the (amazingly blue) North Sea beyond.
The pier opened in 1869 and the funicular in 1884. Unfortunately for us the tramway wasn't working for technical reasons which meant lots of steps down & back up too!
HFF to everybody. Have a great weekend.

Best Wishes, HFF, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!

The Cliff Lift has had a rewire and a few repairs since I worked on the passenger cars in 2010/11.
Apparently, it will be working until Jan 2025 after being out of commission most of summer 2024.
HFF und ein schönes Wochenende, Pete!
