Steelworks locomotive
German built locomotive 8.716 at work on the extensive railways system at Scunthorpe steelworks. It is one of a class of locomotives built for the Norwegian State Railway by Maschinebau Kiel in 1996/97.
In 2011/2, 11 of these Locos were shipped to the re-opened Teesside Steel Works at Redcar, to operate the blast furnaces & casting mills there. When Teesside closed in 2015, the Locos were leased to Tata Steel for use at Scunthorpe and these later transferred with the works to British Steel.
