Isolation Hospital

Isolation Hospital
The corrugated iron buildings are the remains of the isolation hospital that was on the land at Turnwater Meadow adjacent to the junction of the Melton Mowbray Navigation with the River Soar Navigation.

An inhospitable hospital. When was it in use?
When you say 'Navigation', do you mean canal and a part of a river used by canal boats?

It seems to have been in use 1920s to possibly the 1950s. The OS map refers to it as a Typhoid Hospital.

Regarding Navigation you are correct that this is a river or canal used by boats. Both those above are navigable rivers.
