I have a curved tooth file. It was issued to me when I worked in telecoms for finishing 'burning in' large lead/acid batteries. We positioned the lugs of adjacent cells together and used two short pieces of aluminium angle bolted around the lead lugs. These extended above the lugs by about the lug's thickness. We then melted lead, using an oxy/acetylene flame, to combine with the tops of the lugs and to form a continuous circuit between the cells. The file was then, after removal of the aluminium, used to tidy the new work to match the existing lugs.
