Anchor Mill
The Anchor Mill of 1881 stands on Daisy Street in Oldham. Built to the design of Joseph Stott for the Anchor Spinning Co. Ltd, it ceased production in 1929 and was used as a cotton waste warehouse for many years.The 720hp engine was by Benjamin Goodfellow of Mottram Road Foundry, Hyde. The building has recently been refurbished as industrial units and a hall for events.
