1961 BMW Isetta 300
Though the Isetta "bubble car" was designed by the Italian company Iso, most Isettas were built by BMW, which improved its performance and made it the first mass-production car to burn only three liters of fuel every hundred kilometers. In Britain, the three-wheeled Isetta was the most popular version as, under British law, it could be driven with a motorcycle license rather than an automobile license. This 1961 BMW Isetta 300 is displayed at the Science Museum in London.
