The beautiful Whaleback
Yesterday evening, I started looking for a really bright, colourful image to post in between all my snowy, winter postings. So short of time, so I grabbed this one that is at least green and not white or blue. Taken on 31 May 2013, when I went with a group of botany friends south of Calgary to the Whaleback area. Such a beautiful area of rolling hills, with the mountains in the distance. It was a day of low cloud and non-stop rain all day, ha. However, the scenery is spectacular and we loved seeing the yellow Balsamroot in flower.
