A look that needs to be shared : )
I couldn't resist posting this photo from my archives, taken NW of Calgary on 28 May 2012. Quite a lot of people followed this particular family of Northern Hawk Owls - Mom, Dad and Junior, seen in this photo. If I remember correctly, this was taken on the owlet's very first day out of the nest, when it climbed up a very small, spindly "tree" and sat there, waiting to be fed. Sure enough, eventually, one of the parents flew in with a Meadow Vole. Thought this look was priceless, ha.
