This tiny fungus looks not much more than a yellow smear on a rotting log in the forest, but is quite beautiful when seen in macro size. This is a common woodland cup fungus; the fruitbodies may occur in large numbers. The cups are smooth and saucer-shaped and grow to a maximum size of 3mm across. Just love the vibrant colour. Photographed on 1 September 2012 at Brown-Lowery Provincial Park.
