Mosquito on a Morel

A photo of this Morel mushroom from 21st June 2011, taken at Burnsmead, Fish Creek Park. I was amazed when I came across a little cluster of these gorgeous Morel mushrooms growing amongst the grass. It was even more breathtaking when I straightened up and found myself staring at one of the Great Horned Owlets who was asleep on the ground a little distance away from me! I had been looking for them (in vain) before I found the mushrooms and was on my way back to my car. The mosquitoes, by the way, were dreadful, even landing on the fungi.
