Elegance in the fungi world

Elegance in the fungi world
I did post a similar image to this one a couple of years ago, but came across this unposted one in one of my files. This month (August) is supposed to be the peak of fungi season here - but where ARE all the fungi? It seems that this year is not going to be a good year for them, for some reason.

My good friend, Linda, in England e-mailed me yesterday to say that she had just driven past my brother's house and that there was a SOLD sign in the garden. So, I won't be totally convinced until I have actually heard from the Solicitor that everything has been 100% completed, but it does sound like good news. It will be a miracle if it has indeed sold, as it was in dreadful condition (meaning that I had to reduce the price horrendously!) and also houses just aren't selling over there. At least I won't have to keep paying Solicitor fees, Realtor fees, house insurance, etc., etc. once it has sold, and that will be a relief. Then, yesterday evening, I had a phone call from Mississauga, Ontario, letting me know that the 12 boxes of sentimental items that belonged to my parents and my brother have now arrived in Ontario. So happy to know that they are on dry land in Canada and not drowned somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, lol!! They should arrive in Calgary before or by the end of August, which gives me a little time to do some clearing and cleaning, to make room for them all.
