Delicious, tasty, young buds
After a long, severe winter, the deer must be enjoying having freshly sprouting grass and tender buds to eat, instead of dead leaves and twigs! This Mule Deer was browsing continuously at Bebo Grove yesterday afternoon. They are beginning to shed their winter coats and so are looking very shaggy and shabby at the moment : ).
