Life is not always a smooth ride
When several of these gorgeous Nodding or Musk Thistles were pulled from the Erlton/Roxborough Natural Area in the summer, as they are invasive, I turned one of the picked flowers upside down and discovered this little Ladybug. These are my favourite thistles and the flower heads can be quite large. I find them pretty at any stage.
