Well, I'm back - finally, my new computer is set up and working, though I keep coming across things that I can no longer do, such as renaming an image. I've been doing this for years, but now I get a message saying that if I change a file name extension, the file may become unusable! What???
Anyway, this plant is a Nodding Thistle, also known as a Musk Thistle. This plant had been pulled, as they will spread and become invasive if left in the ground. So, I had the chance to tip it upside down or in this case, hold it so that I could see underneath - and when I did, I was surprised to find this little Ladybug.
