Holding one's head high
I spent the summer and fall of 2001 searching everywhere for any Sunflowers. My youngest daughter loves Sunflowers and I wanted to use my own photos to make writing paper and address labels for when I wrote to her each week. After all my efforts, I went into my yard one day and noticed a long, twisted stem creeping over the soil with a strange bud on it. It was a Sunflower of my very own (not the one in this photo, just a small one)! I had never had one before or since. It was a very strange feeling, but wonderful!
