Have a nice day:)
The staircase, probably designed by Francesco Borromini, serves the south wing of the palace, so complementing Bernini’s staircase on a principle which is not just aesthetic but also distributive and functional. Accessed by the external portico, it led to Cardinal Francesco Barberini’s rooms, and was intended for more private use

Einen schönen Tag nach Italien!
bonne journée, bisous
As most classics it doesn't intrude in you, it only shows the way.
Happy manner to open your day.
Enjoy and keep the smile.
Stunning architectural detail!
Beautifully captured and shown, Annemarie!
Thanks also for the text
By the way: Borromini was depicted on the old 100 Swiss franc note. .-)
