Upper Klamath Lake and Autumn Shoreline

This image shows the shore of Upper Klamath Lake from a canoe! A couple of months ago, Steve and I drove down to Klamath for fall colors shots, and we rented a canoe to visit the marshlands along the edge of the lake. I didn't have time to work on the pictures but they are next on my list after I'm done with my Clayfolk show. Here's one of them, and I hope you likeit!

Last Leaves with Naked Tractor Eggs Beyond

On the way back home from Klamath Falls, we stopped here and there to take autumn pictures. This was my first opportunity to take a picture of a "tractor egg"! :D What the heck is a tractor egg? It's a silly name for a round hay bale, especially when it's got a white plastic covering to protect it from the elements. Take a look! www.flickr.com/search/?q=tractor%20egg This image was taken in October, 2011

Green Trees Reflecting on Upper Klamath Lake

Thank you to everyone who's visited and left comments and favorited my images! These are an invitation for me to visit your photostream and admire your pictures and leave comments too! This image shows that lots of trees were only just starting to change colors, and there are many evergreens too. This made for a very pretty contrast to the fiery colors in some of my other images! Sunshine Reflecting Off Silt in Shallow Water on Upper Klamath Lake

While Steve and I paddled quietly along the Upper Klamath Lake Canoe Trail through the marsh there, the water got very shallow in many places. In fact, we got stuck more than once and needed to stick our paddles in the silt and push ourselves back into deeper water. I was constantly distracted by the amazin reflections on the water made by the suns rays hitting the shallow bottom and bouncing up to the surface. Unbelievably beautiful, don't you think?!! WOW! Sparkling Sunshine on Upper Klamath Lake

With the sun nearly overhead, the pictures we were able to take as we paddled along in our canoe were amazing. Here you can see the stars of sunlight reflecting off the surface of Upper Klamath Lake. Incredible!!! This image was taken in October, 2011
