293/366: Look at All That Fuzz!
Did you know that many flower buds, perhaps as many as half, are covered with fuzz? I will toss a guess that it helps to protect the flower inside from insect attacks, but it may also protect the tender bud from rain accummulating into large droplets which might sit for hours and cause deteriation. In any event, I love the "hairy" appearance! This is a rose bud preparing to open in July, 2012.
