Totally Adorable Jumping Spider
I just love these guys! I've found several of them in the past few weeks and I'm delighted how easy they are to take pictures of! If you've never seen a jumping spider moving around, take a look at this video: Phidippus Putnami Jumping Spider Being Cute. The one in the video moves its pedipalps more than any spider I've seen, but otherwise it looks very similar to the spiders I've taken pictures of and you'll see how curious and smart they are! They consider options and think about things, and I find them so fascinating! :) (By the way, the video is very long and there's no need to watch it all, just enough so you can see how this one moves around.)
