Tungsten mine near the mouth of Summit Canyon in the Toiyabe Range, complete with a short abandoned cableway that goes to a couple of adits on the south wall of the canyon.

|
New Moose tungsten mine, Twin Rivers district, in Summit Canyon, Toiyabe Range, Nevada. The tungsten mineralization (scheelite) occurs in altered limestone pods hosted in the Gold Hill Formation, which is mostly quartzite. The mine was active in the 50s or so, probably until the Federal government yanked the price supports.
