Caples Lake
And reflection. The mountain on the skyline is Black Butte; it's not very black in this lighting! Caples Lake is a reservoir on Caples Creek, in the headwaters of the South Fork of the American River, which drains to the Sacramento in California's central valley. The area is just off California SR 88 over Carson Pass. The inset is a view a little more to the left.
