Winnemucca Lake

Winnemucca Lake
Near Carson Pass in California's Sierra Nevada. The inset has a different pic; I couldn't decide which I liked better. It was hard to get pix without people--the area is a popular hiking destination! The lake is named for a noted Paiute chief.

There were quite a few families with smallish children there. There's an easier trail that starts at Carson Pass, so the kids can make it!
