Wheeler Peak
13,063 feet/3982 m. Just to the right of center. High point of the Snake Range and centerpiece of Great Basin National Park, Nevada. Seen from the cirque below the peak on the north side. This cirque is still said to contain a rock glacier, and there is perennial ice below the blocky glacial debris in the middle, but it doesn't appear to be active at this point. The cirque is eroded into Late Precambrian quartzite, which accounts for the layering seen in the cliffs and the blocky nature of the erosional debris.
I'm sure the spire on the left has a name, but I haven't been able to track it down (maybe I'll just call the park!)
