Thanks! As I comment in one of the adjacent photos, this is virga--the clouds are dropping rain that's evaporating before it reaches the ground.

Thanks for the nice comments on the gray jays, Steve. We've had them try to take food from where we were eating. Another lovely view of this sunset. Makes me want to get out and do some hiking and exploring.
