Thanks! Well, the mountains are distant enough in this direction that they're obscured by the smoke remaining from the large (lightning-caused) wildfires. Crews were still mopping up along the road to this point--in fact, they'd just reopened the road the previous evening. Steens Mountain would be visible, but it's off the photo to the right!
